Citizens getting more engaged in planning
Feb 18, 2014 Cynthia T

Technology is a forceful tool when people are thinking about engaging into a broad area of interaction. I read about an Australia city which designed its only mobile phone application for its citizens to report online if they ever encountered any broken amenities as feedbacks. It such a cool idea but the internet now can do a lot more. For example, communities can share with one another their transportation, living and purchasing standards in order to give their denizens first hand comparison info. It's true when people know more about others living in the same city ( but not the same district) they'll have more incentives to catch up with the better designed communities. Thus by using online tech to provide people with abundant info, they can get more engaged in uplifting their own city.
