The general motivation of smarter city is Economic & Social Growth.

Economic parameters leading to:
- Innovation and hi-tech
- Industrial basis support
- New jobs and opportunities
- Overall state competitiveness

Social Parameters:
- Improved Society (Intellectual, collaborative, and Safe Society)
- Better Living Conditions
- Responsive Governance

The growth should be sustainable in terms of continual improvement; plus utilizing resources in such manners they are renewable and less damaging (like green technologies, environment).

The basic parameters could be monitored, controlled; and there is an over-going feedback to enhance things continually. This could involve sophisticate technology, and communities.

That's what on generic terms my overall idea about smarter city.
