What is your big idea for a smarter city?
A local community that fully utilizes its human resources.

Technology has made communication faster and easier than any person had imagined 20 years ago. But on the other hand, our connection with our neighbors has decreased behalf of our infinite expanding virtual world.
Cloud sourcing has created an evolution with curating ideas and data all across the world, but it doesn't seem that it has not been applied much to social good, especially at local societies.
Virtual relationship is good, but it isn't enough. We can't fulfill our well-being by only relying on our friends that we only know on facebook and twitter.

Cities across the world are aging. Old people cannot easily visit people who live far away. Local relationships are going to become more and more important in the future.

I believe that there are unlimited human resource potential in every city, even in rural areas, that has not been yet cultivated. But it is difficult to utilize this with our present environment. A smart city should be "smart" with its size and community.
