From data.gov page: "data.gov increases the ability of the public to easily find, download, and use datasets that are generated and held by the Federal Government"

From the eia.gov site: "The U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) collects, analyzes, and disseminates independent and impartial energy information to promote sound policymaking, efficient markets, and public understanding of energy and its interaction with the economy and the environment."

There is lots of information in these sites that can be used to analyse multiple energy types uses and consumption in the US
