When I first learned of this platform, it seemed like the best thing since sliced bread! It allows citizens to request municipal services (eg. fixing a pothole or a busted streetlamp) and to track the speed of municipal response. More powerfully, it allows community members to help themselves (eg. some people post notices for lost pets, or Amber Alerts, on SeeClickFix, to remarkable results). On the government side, it produces useful analytics for identifying predominant problem areas in particular neighbourhoods, as well as to measure neighbourhood engagement levels.
