This project aims to map bicycle movement in the City of Toronto by utilizing GPS technology that is embedded into our smartphones. For my final project I have designed and prototyped a mobile application, created a document and video that explains how the application works and created a detailed engagement / implementation strategy to see this project through to completion. A link to my final report and video can be found on my website (www.robertgiusti.com) // or a direct link to the final report can be found here (http://robertgiusti.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/Final-Project_Spreads_LowRes.pdf). The purpose of tracking bicycle movement is to better understand the flow of cyclists within the City of Toronto with an aim to better invest in infrastructure improvements, and act as a tool for better planning and design. This tool will also act as a platform to promote local bicycle shops and bicycle safety within the City of Toronto. Hope you enjoy!
