In these months my municipality is considering proposals for the redevelopment of the town's main square, but all project are concrete on concrete, without considering a greener vision.
I thought that if people were able to put on paper an alternative scenario, with the same tools an architect has, the power of ideas coming from the bottom would be stronger. Here then the technology can help us: a platform (with website and app) to identify and "adopt" an area to revive, with trees, parks, benches, whatever makes a better public space. In the platform, citizens can meet and talk as in a forum to share ideas (like in Mindmixer)and starting from a photo, edit it by building a collage. People can decide what strategy to use in order to propose the change (by presenting a project to administration or with guerrilla gardening). The more you participate the more you accumulate points, like in a videogame, spending points in the city. It might involve ecological, social and economic aspects.
