Expanding the underground city to alleviate surface congestion.
May 18, 2013 Patricia F4

I had the pleasure to live in Montreal, where winters are cold and snow has a way to make you wish you didn't have a car. However, during the summer is a different thing altogether, and the Metro (subway or underground rail system) gets transformed into a stage. You get on the metro in the morning and rush past a string quartet and finish your travel to the sounds of Andean music.

However, underground connectivity may still be a problem, and I believe that this could be a interesting project in terms of exploring what it would mean to expand connectivity underground in other cities. In other words, how this narrative would sell to the underground community (vendors, passengers, artists, and so on) given the cultural makeup and ethos of another city, and they way this could alleviate surface mobility.
