Use data to spot socio-economic trends in areas of city...
May 19, 2013 James Y1

Not a new idea, but I think cities could make a smarter effort to collect and analyze data sets (real estate, business sales, school scores, crime, etc.) which may indicate trends in the socio-economic decline of certain areas of a city. A city could then proactively respond in supporting those areas appropriately (more resources, better maintenance, more social support, business incentives, etc.). All in the belief that a healthy city is one that is equitable both civically and economically.
