Employment Data/ Neighborhood Characteristics
May 23, 2013 Sarah L23

Employment/Education and Neighborhood Characteristics are great ways for understanding/assessing community health. The Bureau of Labor Statistics is a great resource for employment data, and PRIZM is a great data source for understanding community characteristics (the open, equivalent to ESRI's tapestry segments) - please see links below. (Historically this data is used for market analysis, but it is just as useful for planners to truly understand people and place at a high level).
