I love that this song is written from the perspective of the city itself, which is very original. The lyrics are quite general and are broad enough to fit any city. They are also catchy...it is ABBA after all!
"And a million voices blend into a single voice
And you can hear it in the clamour of the crowded streets."
The song was written in the 80s and there has always been something very digital and technological about that era. Especially the music of the time. Not to mention, the visions of authors like George Orwell, who associated the 80s with immense technological advancement, though not in the best sense of the word.
