Traffic Hazard Documenting

Like those found in the crowdsourcing techniques of Openplans, Los Angeles- and the Manhattan Beach/Hermosa Beach/ Redondo Beach regions- is in desperate need of ways to merge 311 concepts with information sites concerning unsafe auto (car, truck, bus, motorcycle/scooter), pedestrian and bicyclist routes and/or interactions. I saw a sign the other day on the back of a Metro Bus saying "every lane is a bike lane" that reminded me a lot of the bike lane safety video from the man in New York City. I can't even begin to count the number of times, had I aided by that "rule of thumb" on my bike that I wouldn't be here.
