If you could build any citizen app, what would it be and how could it help the community?
Citizen engagement app
May 27, 2013 Dee M3

It would provide citizens with the option to view and participate both in real time and after an event, in public Board, Planning Commission meetings. The would be able to see the Land Use Code sections, and federal and state statutes relevant to the topic, and cast votes and post comments on the topics being heard/discussed. They would be able to see zoning, location, and other relevant maps, as well as the actual proceedings taking place. Their name, comments, & points earned would be visible to the live and online attendees to allow for responses to their questions/comments. The app would list all attendees, the Boards comments, the outcome of each agenda item. Participants would earn points for attendance, for comments, questions and input. They would earn points for participating in planning projects, watching videos and webinars, answering questions, playing related games, taking surveys, on-line site visits, etc.points could apply to city service/event fees.
