How would you use RFID's to improve your city?
RFID cards for public transit are great but privacy?

The last time I visited Montreal, I took great pleasure in using their Metro system (buses/subways). Compared to Toronto, Montreal has a very sophisticated ticket system - including cards with RFID in them.

But as this article that I've linked to reminds us, the information that is useful to transit planners (when and where did you start and end your journey) is also very useful to the police.

From my understanding, RFID's ability to read from as far as 10 metres, means that other systems that require closer proximity (like Near Field Communication ) might be better for transit tickets.
