RFID as Student ID for school aged children

A large concern for parents allowing their children to attend public schools is safety. If students had RFID embedded in their student ID cards or other school issued accessory such as a backpack, it would enable parents to watch their children walk or bike to school virtually, and ensure that schools can account for every child in its care on any given day.
