How should we define technology?
Urban technology is innovative
May 08, 2013 Victoria D3

Urban technology takes place in the technological hubs of our world - our cities. Therefore, it is the most innovative and state-of-the-art way of going about daily life via employing tools and gadgets to make our lives simpler. Urban technology is directly related to the cityscape itself, such as the physical infrastructure, transportation, zoning codes, etc. For instance, a high-tech microwave in someone's apartment in the city is not an example of urban technology because it is not related to the public cityscape; it is a personal gadget. However, a motion-detecting escalator would be urban technology because it is visible and can be used by numerous people and has the potential to be integrated elsewhere.
