Public Transit pass with chip

The Netherlands as a whole has introduced an OV (public transit) pass, a while back. The pass has a chip and works for all pblic transit. A traveler can add money to the card. Swipe the card by entering a bus / train or metro and swipe once again by exiting the transportation unit.

The card is very similar to the Barcelona Hola BCN! card with the slight difference that you (as a user) need to swipe the card by entering and exiting, so it is in a sense less user friendly.
