The biggest problem in my town is traffic volume and congesgion and following on from that road disrepair and Co2 emissions the way I would use ICT's to tackel this is I would use cameras and sensors on the roads to gather data on traffic volume and patterns. Useing this data to set up car shareing scheme's and incentivize alternative travel methods E.G public transport or cycling . Also one company in particular employ's a comparatively large portion of the population so would use the data to see if it would be worthwhile to aproach the employer and incetivize giving people in the same areas similar working patterns to encourage car sharing and maybe give favourable rates for council tax in return. I would also use the cameras to capture traffic and driving infractions using the proceeds to improve the roads and cycling infrastructure within the town
