How are people in your city using technology to organize for positive change?
Mostly through group based social media and websites

These initiatives are slow to catch on in our community. Its small enough that most of the people who are committed and engaged to improvement are all the same people and are used to the meeting and forum model. More websites for interest groups are spreading the word and government websites are much more thoughtful and interactive than they once were. For certain large segments of the population, in particular, older people and margiinalized groups, they must rely on posters and mail outs which are widely used by the government. This will have to change very soon however, since post offices are finding it difficult to provide services and are considering seriously cutting back on delivery services.
