I am from Bangalore India and have seen this city transforming from Garden City to Garbage City of India [1]. Late last year Bangalore faced severe waste management issues. Not much has changed in past 6 months. As a concerned citizen and a witness to how beautiful this city once was I am determined to do my part in helping it overcome this severe crisis.

Given majority of its population is engaged in IT, transforming and enabling the workplaces is going to have a huge impact. The current plan is to

1.) Educate about sustainable lifestyle, recycling and environmental impact of daily use products
2.) Build a mobile/web application focussed on building community and taking such initiatives
3.) Design a product and service workflow to ease recycling at workplaces

My detailed project proposal can be found in links section.
