Have you ever participated in developing an app? If so, what was your experience like?

I have finished a prototype in the HCI class offered by Stanford through Coursera and it is called Marion. Marion is an iphone app that allows you to set the phone at varying degrees to shut down at regular intervals so you can take a break. This is because of health studies proving that staying in one position too long is hard on the heart and increases risk of early death. Originally I wanted it to be a web application but during the design it seemed better fit to a phone because if you set this type of shutdown alarm on a computer and locked it up you could always reach for your phone and not actually take a decent break. Marion gives suggestions for break activities and can be overridden so you can allow the phone to still be used in an emergency but lock down all over activities.
