On April 15, 2013 there was a tragic bombing at the Boston Marathon. Almost instantly pictures and videos of "suspects" started to appear on the web. Was this a good thing? Do you have concerns?

1. False accusation; 2. caused harm; and 3. not enough research. Netizens committed libel. They should be civilly or criminally liable. Instead of immediately posting online, people with some kind of info should just talk to the police. Let the police handle the investigation. While some netizens might have the best of intentions, they should realize the consequences of their irresponsible behavior. If Massachusetts Law do not consider this Libel yet, then maybe they should.
