On April 15, 2013 there was a tragic bombing at the Boston Marathon. Almost instantly pictures and videos of "suspects" started to appear on the web. Was this a good thing? Do you have concerns?

Surveillance Cameras Turned On Only During Special Events

Generally speaking I don't like the idea of public surveillance cameras. However I would support the installation of cameras in public places, but they can only be turned on when a special events permit has been filed with a the city. (i.e. parades, sporting events, etc) These types of events require special police presence already. Hence the cameras would simply supplement the police presence that's already required.
