On April 15, 2013 there was a tragic bombing at the Boston Marathon. Almost instantly pictures and videos of "suspects" started to appear on the web. Was this a good thing? Do you have concerns?

It can't be simplified to good and bad.

We must find ways to amplify and enable the good it is doing, and dampen the bad. I think social media and technology has helped us in many situations, and provides insight into otherwise mysterious situations of victims. However, it can be abused by all the "trolls" out there and there are a lot of people quick to believe anything. I attached an article from CNN about some of the tragic false information that floated around after the Boston attacks.
