On April 15, 2013 there was a tragic bombing at the Boston Marathon. Almost instantly pictures and videos of "suspects" started to appear on the web. Was this a good thing? Do you have concerns?
Crowd sourced images are invaluable

Supplying credible pictures and videos to the relevant authorities (Police, FBI etc) can assist in apprehending suspects more quickly and save more lives.

As long as these images are based on credible information (credible eye witness accounts), then posting them on the web is a good thing because this info will be disseminated more quickly, which can result in faster feedback from the public and quicker arrests.
